speech language pathologist and founder of SpeechRise. She brings to SpeechRise over 10 years of experience specializing in pediatrics. She has gained valuable evaluation and therapeutic experience in both the school and hospital settings over the course of her career. She has a strong background in motor speech therapy and is level two P.R.O.M.P.T trained. Nicole is a well versed feeding therapist, who uses her Sequential Oral Sensory Approach to feeding (S.O.S) training to help treat picky eaters and problem feeders. Nicole recently completed an intensive course in Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders, improving her abilities to work with children and adults with OMD’s. She continues to hold her LSVT certification as well, targeted for patients with voice disorders. Nicole treats a variety of patients with articulation delays and disorders, apraxia of speech, expressive and receptive language delays, and feeding difficulties and disorders, cognitive-communication disorders and neurological communication disorders. She has many years of experience in augmentative and alternative communication and is well versed in TobiiDynavox and PRC communication systems. She has worked with AAC users throughout her career and is adept at treating switch and eye-gaze users. Nicole is licensed and registered with the State of New York in Speech-Language pathology and is an active member of the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). She holds a Masters of Science in Speech Language Pathology from Molloy College and a Bachelors of Science from Gettysburg College. Nicole presented at the American Speech and Hearing Association Annual Conference in 2016.
